On April 28th, the Lu Hai Kong Jian detailed design review meeting for the hyperspectral 01 and 02 satellites of the first phase of the `Dong Fang Hui Yan` constellation project was successfully held at Wuhan University. Academician Li Deren served as the review team leader, consisting of multiple experts from China Long March Rocket Co., Ltd., Wuhan University, Aerospace Fifth Academy, Shenzhen Aerospace Dongfanghong Satellite Co., Ltd., Harbin Institute of Technology Satellite Company, Changchun Institute of Optics and Mechanics, and Lu Hai Kong Jian (Yantai) Information Technology Co., Ltd. The review team conducted in-depth analysis and discussion on the `Detailed Design Plan for Hyperspectral 01 and 02 Stars`, and ultimately unanimously passed the review of the detailed design plan for the entire satellite.

The approval of the design proposals for two hyperspectral satellites developed by Wuhan University marks the comprehensive implementation of the satellite development work for the `1+2`` demonstration service system of the first phase of the `Dong Fang Hui Yan` constellation project in land, sea, and space.

The `Dong Fang Hui Yan` intelligent remote sensing constellation is a constellation project independently proposed, constructed, and operated by Lu Hai Kong Jian (Yantai) Information Technology Co., Ltd. in 2022. The constellation adopts integrated navigation and remote sensing design and in orbit intelligent processing technology, planning to become the world's first intelligent remote sensing constellation composed of 300+satellites, providing commercial remote sensing information real-time intelligent services with stronger timeliness and higher application service level to global users. This constellation project is the implementation of the major technological innovation concept proposed by Academician Li Deren - the Real time Intelligent Service System for Aerospace Information (PNTRC). The construction of constellations has received strong support from the Yantai Municipal People's Government and is a result of collaborative innovation among enterprises, local governments, and universities.

Since the joint evaluation and approval of the `Dong Fang Hui Yan Constellation Planning and Demonstration Plan` by 8 academicians on October 7, 2022, the Lu Hai Kong Jian has strictly followed the planning plan and high-quality promoted the construction of the first phase of the constellation project.

The cooperating parties attach great importance to and work together

After the official launch of the first phase of the constellation project, Lu Hai Kong Jian Company actively promoted the establishment of cooperation. In December 2022, they respectively signed satellite commissioned development contracts with Shenzhen Aerospace Dongfanghong Satellite Co., Ltd. and Wuhan University. Shenzhen Dongfanghong will undertake the development of one high-resolution remote sensing satellite and Wuhan University will undertake the development of two hyperspectral remote sensing satellites.

The cooperating parties of the first phase of satellite development attach great importance to this cooperation and fully cooperate with the satellite scheme design and review work.

The detailed design review meeting for the first phase of high-resolution remote sensing satellite scheme was held on January 31 in Haiyang City, Yantai. The Lu Hai Kong Jian invited Academician Gong Jianya and multiple experts from China Long March Rocket Co., Ltd., Wuhan University, and the Fifth Academy of Astronautics to form a review team. Li Ludong, General Manager of Shenzhen Dongfanghong, and Li Chun, Chief Engineer, led the expert team to cooperate with the review work and further improve the satellite design scheme based on expert review opinions. At present, the development of high-resolution remote sensing satellites is progressing smoothly.

The first review meeting for the design of hyperspectral satellite payload cameras and the detailed design review meeting for the entire satellite were held at Wuhan University in April 2023. Wuhan University attaches great importance to this. On April 19, the design review meeting of the load camera was held at the same time as the grand launch meeting of the campus project. Zhang Pingwen, academician of the CAS Member, president of Wuhan University, Li Deren, academician Liu Jingnan, vice president of Wuhan University, Tang Qizhu and others attended the meeting. President Zhang Pingwen pointed out that the participation of Wuhan University in the construction of the first phase of the `Dong Fang Hui Yan` intelligent remote sensing constellation project is of great significance. The university will fully support the promotion of satellite construction, and he also requested all functional departments to actively cooperate with resources and ensure conditions.

The technical verification is progressing smoothly and laying the foundation

On January 15, 2023, the `Yantai 1` satellite (also known as the `Luojia 3 01 satellite`) was successfully launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. The star has been operating steadily in orbit for three months and has successfully completed in orbit scientific experiments on intelligent in orbit data processing, efficient data compression transmission, and minute level full process information services that will be used for the construction of the Oriental Eye constellation.

The Yantai 1 satellite has successfully verified the real-time intelligent remote sensing information service capability of only 8 minutes from user task requests to user mobile terminal access, laying a solid technical foundation for the construction of the Oriental Wisdom Eye constellation.
